Hi My Loves!
You asked and I’m here to deliver. Over on Instagram, I put up a Q&A for you to ask me any questions you’d like and I would do my best to answer them and man did y’all come through! So let’s get chatting!
How did you stay patient & wait for what God has for you?
This is something that I’m working on everyday! I know that one day I will have the desires of my heart and the strength that gets me through is always referring back to Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV) “For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope”. This scripture reminds me daily of the faith I have in God. Knowing that one day Caleb and I will have the child/children of our dreams. The Lord has already blessed us so much within our careers and with a beautiful home. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be to be VERY SPECIFIC on what you are speaking with God about to the very last detail. He hears it all. Trust me.
Let’s talk about your oil journey. How did you first start out? What catapulted you in the world of oils?
I had actually introduced to oils a couple of years ago from a friend of mine, but I was in my own world and didn’t pay attention. It wasn’t until my dear friend Katie brought it up while I was at her house a few years later that it clicked in my head. I did research into the benefits of using oils and what that could do for me and my family. A month later I bought my starter kit from her and have loved every minute of it. I’m slowly expanding my knowledge and learning what works and what doesn’t work for me. One thing I truly believe is the power of oils. It goes all the way back to biblical times but, I do believe everyone should do their research because not all oils are created equal.
How long have you been married?
I’ve been married for 4 years now & it’s been the time of my life. I don’t think we are in the “honeymoon” stage anymore. More like the everlasting love stage lol (too cheesy?)
I love watching you DIY videos around your home with your husband. Do y’all have a theme for your home?
We have a “Modern Farmhouse” theme. We love blacks, grays and whites with hints of browns and a pop of blue or purple depending on the room. Our inspiration comes from Chip & Joanna Gaines (Yeah we basic) but we just love their style.
Do you find it hard to stay consistent with food and exercise with PCOS?
OMG Yes all the time! The sugar cravings hit at all the wrong times. Some days I just want a big burger with a milkshake, but you can have everything in moderation. If I want a burger I switch out fried for a salad. If I want a shake I’ll make it with almond milk instead of whole milk. Balance is always key.
